BPI（ブループラネット研究所）は、政府および産業界のリーダーがエビデンスに基づいた意思決定をなすうえで必要な信頼性の高い情報を提供する、独立・中立のシンクタンクです。
BPIは、調査・分析を通じて、行政機関におけるより効果的な政策立案と意思決定を支援しています。政治的・商業的な影響を受けない中立的かつ客観的な研究推進に努め、政策立案者が最善の意思決定を行なううえで有効な、極めて質の高いデータと分析結果の活用を目指しています。
BPIは、意思決定者が経済・環境・安全保障の優先事項のバランスを取りつつ、現実的かつ実行可能なエネルギー政策を策定し、また気候変動に伴うさまざまな適応策を講じるうえで力となれるよう努めています。
BPIは、政策課題および気候変動を含む地球規模の課題について、ステークホルダーや関心を持つ一般の人々の知識と認識を高めるため、国内外に向けた調査・研究結果の公表に努める一方、講演やメディア出演も行なっています。BPIが目指すのは、むずかしいことをやさしく、やさしいことをふかく、ふかいことをおもしろくお伝えすることです。

The Blue Planet Institute (BPI) is an independent, non-partisan policy research organization that provides leaders in government and industry with the information they need to make evidence-based decisions.
We help improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis. We are committed to conducting in-depth and objective research, free from political and commercial pressure, with the aim of enabling policy leaders to make the best possible decisions by providing them with the best possible data and analytical insights.
We are committed to empowering decision-makers to develop realistic and feasible energy policies that balance economic, environmental, and security priorities and implement a range of adaptation measures in response to climate change.
We publish our research and analysis in Japanese and English on policy issues and global challenges, including energy and climate change, to enhance the knowledge and awareness of stakeholders and the interested public. What the BPI strives for is to communicate complex ideas with clarity, simple concepts with depth, and profound insights in an engaging manner.
